Phenotyping

Robopec, in partnership with Meca3d designs on behalf of INRAArvalis or Hiphen different systems for phenotyping.

Our different phenotyping solutions:

Phenomobile Line – Agricultural Robots

Autonomous mobile phenotyping robots.

Phenodrive Line – Phenotyping trailer

Phenodrive, mounted on a tractor, makes it possible to acquire a set of measures that can be used for phenotyping.

Phenoman Line – Pedestrian phenotyping system

Ultra compact system for sparse data sampling with manual triggering.

What is it ?

Phenotyping consists of observing plants and the characters they express (leaf color, stem thickness, etc.). Tools such as Phenomobile can be used to measure plants using different sensors.

What for ?

To improve cereal performance, breeders and agronomists seek to identify genes involved in certain traits of interest such as resistance to disease or drought resistance.

With a large number of observations, it is then possible to associate an observed trait with genes.
