Pedestrians Counting
Within the subsidized MAGNUM project, in collaboration with Stackr, we developed a mobile phone’s Bluetooth and Wi-Fi frames sniffing case: PiWifi. The anonymous data are used to count the pedestrians in a specific area.
MAGNUM is a French acronym meaning “Measure, Analysis and flow Management, Natively Unified in Stores”. The MAGNUM project’s goal is to offer to the business ecosystems players (such as “Shopping Centers” or “Shopping Streets”) technological means to strengthen their position against the growing power of E-Business.
Several cases installed along a street can identify a pedestrian and then model a pedestrian flow. The result of the measurement is aimed at storekeepers. The case is a statistic measurement tool.
